Some Common Problems about iPhone Series

Apple’s iPhone lineup is powered by iOS, which is known for a number of things. While a few buggy initial launches might lead you to believe otherwise, iOS is actually one of the most stable widely available software platforms in the world. But stable though it may be, there are still some common problems that can be incredibly bothersome if they affect your iPhone, so we do our best to show you how to fix your phone and enjoy smooth sailing whenever possible.

First and foremost is excess battery drain, which is easily one of the biggest iPhone gripes. Besides, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be a major battery drain. Turn them off in your device’s settings when you are not using them, so that you can extend battery life. The three main items of note are adjusting apps that can use background processes, stopping certain apps from being able to access your location, and looking over your apps within Settings to see which ones are causing the most battery drain.

A few complaints have come in that the iPhone 5 touchscreen is randomly dropping touch input when a finger is dragged forwards and backwards diagonally across the display. Some people have even reported a completely unresponsive touchscreen or the screen going blank for a few seconds. There have also been complaints about the touchscreen registering touches when the user hasn’t touched that part of the display. While this doesn’t seem to be a widespread issue it is clearly a pretty extreme problem. There could be more than one issue here, some tests suggest the quick swipe failure is an iOS issue, but the more severe unresponsive or wrongly registering touches problems are likely to be hardware related.

Solution: If your problem is severe then take your iPhone 5 to an Apple store and show them the issue and you’ll get a replacement. You could try resetting or restoring your iPhone 5, but this is probably a hardware problem and you shouldn’t have any trouble getting a replacement. If you are experiencing the quick swipe problem then you may just need to wait for an iOS update.

A lot of people have run into problems with the physical Home button not working. For some iPhone 5 owners it has been flaky and increasingly unresponsive from the start, for others it has gradually worn out through use.

Workaround: If you’re planning to get your iPhone fixed or replaced, but you still need to use it in the meantime, then there is a good workaround for an unresponsive Home button. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch and turn it on. You’ll see a small circle on screen and when you tap it you’ll have access to Home, Siri, More, and Favorites, which allows you to bypass the button.

Solution: If it is still under warranty then you should be able to get a replacement from Apple. If you’re able to visit an Apple Store then that will be the fastest way to get it dealt with; they’ll probably repair it on the spot or get you a replacement. If you can’t get to an Apple Store then contact Apple or your carrier and ask about your options.

Most Common Cell Phone Problems and Solutions

Space age has changed a lot of how we used to live earlier and so we are getting used to all the changing occurring around us. Earlier as we were using normal keypad phones but now in a mere short span of time we gradually get accustomed highly sophisticated smartphones. But problems appeared along with these new smart phones. These problems are the most common for all brands of cell phones and tablets be it Samsung, iPhone, Nokia, HTC, LG, Sony, etc.

Listed below are some cell phone problems which are very common and by maintaining caution can help you to overcome them.

1.Cracked Display Screen: Most screens of your smartphone are made up of glass. The reason for this is that glass provides a much better clarity than fiber or plastic. And as we all see, the screens are very much bigger in size then the earlier keypad handsets. An accidental drop from even a not so high place can crack the screen of your handset, replacement of which can prove expensive and more over time consuming. To avoid this you should keep your device in a protective cover or a padded pouch which can easily absorb the impact of the drop.

2. Charging Port: Frequent charging of your handset spoils the port as well as the charger’s wire which may render the charger non usable. It is best that when you keep your phone for charging, charge it fully till the full charge message is displayed and recharge it only when the battery indicator indicates 5 to 10 % charge balance.  Modern batteries have a long standby time and thus do not need frequent recharging. Even if your indicator shows as 5 to 10 % charge balance you still have 6 to 8 hours left when you need to recharge it again.

3. Freezing Frequently: This has become a very common fault recently due to various reasons. The reasons are less free storage, excessive use of apps or sometimes low specs and configuration for frequent hanging.

4. Slow processing: This is most of the times due to the same reason as freezing. Less free space in internal memory or excessive use of apps or sometimes also due to virus infection. It is recommended to use apps like clean master in android handsets for optimal performance.

Note:  If the fault is related to hardware, you merely have to clean or replace the parts, while if the fault is related to software, you will have to hard reset or flash your device. This is a very good guide for do-it-yourself (DIY) type of people to fix their faulty devices.

Some Solutions about the Splash Screen Problems of Mobile Phones

Is the touch screen on your Android cell phone unresponsive or responding incorrectly? Do some parts of your phones screen respond while other parts do not?  Many repair shop owners may encounter this situation: after turning on the replaced screens, many flickering vertical lines appear on the screen. Here I will share some possible solutions with you.

As a matter of fact, these problems may happen in the following situations.

The first one is more likely to happen during the repair process. When there are tiny stuff (such as dust or broken glass pieces) between the LCD connector and motherboard connector, the LCD screen can’t receive the correct data to work. What’s more, when the connector was not assembled correctly and be pressed deformed, the tiny so called “gold fingers” in the gap between the connectors that get corroded may also cause the problem.

The solution to solve it is simple, first, check whether the connectors are connected correctly. If so, clean the connectors by using 530 contacts cleaner. With a little brush dipping some 530 contact cleaner, you can clean the connectors clearly. Handle gently, or the circuit may be damaged. If the stripes are still on the screen after you have cleaned the connectors and reassembled the parts, replace the connector. It may solve that problem.

In the second situation, if the four corners of the LCD display have been crushed during the repair process. The only thing you can do is to replace another LCD screen.

Have you ever found your cellphone appeared flickering, blackout or bubble in your phone cover? Maybe some following content will help you a lot especially if you are a MRO, distributor or a retailer.

1.      Recently many a customer complained that there had appeared bubble in Samsung Galaxy S3 screen display. Generally it is related with the quality of lens.

2.      If iPhone5s LCD complete appears strips, it may result from franklinism, that is to say, static electricity.

3.      Sony Z1screen is always flickering, that may be caused by explosive screen if your flex cable has buckled well.

4.      Sometimes Samsung Galaxy S4 will appear blackout and be insensitive to touch. Actually it mainly results from the immature screen-fitting workmanship. And now the supplier is developing the technology to do better for customers. Maybe complaint from customers will become less and less.

Tips: LED is short for light emitting diode. So LED mobile phone just means the light source is LED. The biggest difference between LCD and LED lies in two different CineCrystal technologies. LCD means liquid crystal display, which comprises of liquid crystals. But the LED consists of large numbers of supersigits.
