Some Common Problems about iPhone Series

Apple’s iPhone lineup is powered by iOS, which is known for a number of things. While a few buggy initial launches might lead you to believe otherwise, iOS is actually one of the most stable widely available software platforms in the world. But stable though it may be, there are still some common problems that can be incredibly bothersome if they affect your iPhone, so we do our best to show you how to fix your phone and enjoy smooth sailing whenever possible.

First and foremost is excess battery drain, which is easily one of the biggest iPhone gripes. Besides, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can be a major battery drain. Turn them off in your device’s settings when you are not using them, so that you can extend battery life. The three main items of note are adjusting apps that can use background processes, stopping certain apps from being able to access your location, and looking over your apps within Settings to see which ones are causing the most battery drain.

A few complaints have come in that the iPhone 5 touchscreen is randomly dropping touch input when a finger is dragged forwards and backwards diagonally across the display. Some people have even reported a completely unresponsive touchscreen or the screen going blank for a few seconds. There have also been complaints about the touchscreen registering touches when the user hasn’t touched that part of the display. While this doesn’t seem to be a widespread issue it is clearly a pretty extreme problem. There could be more than one issue here, some tests suggest the quick swipe failure is an iOS issue, but the more severe unresponsive or wrongly registering touches problems are likely to be hardware related.

Solution: If your problem is severe then take your iPhone 5 to an Apple store and show them the issue and you’ll get a replacement. You could try resetting or restoring your iPhone 5, but this is probably a hardware problem and you shouldn’t have any trouble getting a replacement. If you are experiencing the quick swipe problem then you may just need to wait for an iOS update.

A lot of people have run into problems with the physical Home button not working. For some iPhone 5 owners it has been flaky and increasingly unresponsive from the start, for others it has gradually worn out through use.

Workaround: If you’re planning to get your iPhone fixed or replaced, but you still need to use it in the meantime, then there is a good workaround for an unresponsive Home button. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch and turn it on. You’ll see a small circle on screen and when you tap it you’ll have access to Home, Siri, More, and Favorites, which allows you to bypass the button.

Solution: If it is still under warranty then you should be able to get a replacement from Apple. If you’re able to visit an Apple Store then that will be the fastest way to get it dealt with; they’ll probably repair it on the spot or get you a replacement. If you can’t get to an Apple Store then contact Apple or your carrier and ask about your options.

Comparison of Security of different iOS, MIUI and Flyme

Nowadays almost everyone has a smart phone. Maybe most of us focus on configuration and function of mobile phones when selecting smart phones, while one important basal function is always neglected by us. That is the regain function of cellphones. Minute as the function is, it can play an important role in some special moments.

A large number of people seldom enter system account; let alone setting up the regain function. As a matter of fact, it is a faulty awareness and it can count when your mobile phone is lost.

However, the regain function isn’t valued by manufacturers much less users of mobile phone. Thus the final line of defense of mobile phone has gradually been ignored. Meanwhile, some security Apps lays emphasis on this matter and sets much function of GPS after your mobile phone was lost. Nevertheless, it is just an App after all, and it doesn’t own much authority as the system of mobile phones.

As for regain function, iPhone, MEIZU and MI do better. They run different function of mobile phone by built-in cloud services. Once your mobile phone is lost or stolen, the function can play a great part.

Microsoft plan to steal market share from iOS and Android by 2019 by virtue of Windows phone

According to analytics firm IDC, Android will have 79.4% of the global smartphone market at the end of this year. With 1.15 billion units forecast to ship in 2015, IDC expects Android to show 8.5% growth in shipments this year. Apple's iOS, with an expected 237 million iPhones shipped this year, is next with 16.4% of the global market. This would represent 23% growth year-over-year. Windows Phone will have the fastest growth this year with a 34.1% growth rate. That will give the platform a 3.2% slice of the smartphone pie with 46.8 million Windows Phone handsets shipping this year.

But what does the future look like? IDC set its sights to 2019 and predicts that 1.5 billion Android handsets will ship that year giving Google's open source OS a 79% share of the global smartphone market. It will also give the Android OS a compounded annual growth rate of 7.5% over the five years. In 2019, IDC sees iOS with 14.2% of the market. Apple will ship 274.5 million iPhones that year according to the forecast, garnering a compounded growth rate of 7.3% for iOS.

Lastly, Windows Phone will see its share of the global smartphone market rise to 5.4% in 2019 according to IDC. That will be the result of 103.5 million Windows Phone handsets shipping that year. The platform's five year compounded growth rate is forecast to be 24.3%, more than triple the compounded growth rates that IDC expects for Android and iOS.

Of course, these figures are all nothing more than guesses made by IDC and anything could happen between now and 2019. Maybe we should just ask Cortana for her prediction.
