Have Microsoft made a faulty to acquire Nokia?

It is reported that Microsoft has regretted to have acquired Nokia since 2013. Afterwards, it has been proved that this deal was totally a failure and not worthy at all.


In the republished financial reports last week, Microsoft revealed that the revenue of mobile phone hardware department was 1.4 billion dollars. However, according to the report of Verge, the relative cost was even 4 million dollars higher than the revenue. What’s more, once Microsoft sells one mobile phone, it will lose $0.12 per share regardless of the expense of marketing and research.


Microsoft focuses on low-end mobile phone market, so it is not surprised it has taken a beating. Actually Microsoft had paid 5.46 billion dollars in the part of goodwill evaluation. Microsoft has warned the value of this part may never come true. That is to say, loss of billions of dollars will be proposed in the future.

It is reported that Microsoft had ever taken measures like this and proposed the loss expense of 6.2billion dollars in 2012. The CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella claimed his worry about the deficit of mobile phone department. And he implied that more measures would be taken to cut the cost.
 
Otherwise, LG seems to have returned to the team of Microsoft. And the code name of Windows mobile phone which is on researching is VB820. That meant LG has terminated the cooperation relationship with Google.
