Nokia Will reportedly Get back to Mobile Phone Market this Autumn with OEM

Though Lumia series have been affixed trademark of Microsoft, there are still many people who are missing the Nokia. But it is reported by American technology blogs Re/code that Nokia will get back to the mobile phone market next autumn. In addition to the smartphones, VR Devices will also be the new products in their development plan. Nevertheless, Nokia seems to focus on designing and developing of new products, and the production process will be transferred to OEMs. In other words, Nokia won’t pick up the manufacturing again.


Regression next fall

It is reported by American technology blogs Re/code that Nokia is planning to return to the mobile phone markets next fall. Presently this plan is in the charge of Nokia Technologies. And VR Devices are also in this plan apart from smartphones.


Since acquired by Microsoft, Nokia has maintained three businesses: basal network infrastructure NSN, map service Nokia Here and Advanced Technologies. Though the technology department is the smallest among the three, it still carries the burden of its future rehabilitation. Besides, it is also responsible for over 1 thousand patents of Nokia and task of new products planning.

OEM

Of course, new products of Nokia Technology are not much and just launch two kind of new products: Zlauncher and N1 tablet. And Nokia will authorize its designing to other manufacturers and sell by the name of Nokia in the Chinese market. It is predicted that Nokia will adopt the similar strategy when returning to the mobile phone markets. In simple terms, Nokia will continue to release smart products with OEM.


According to the agreement with Microsoft, Nokia could own and maintain the brand of Nokia continually. Microsoft will obtain mandate for ten years. After the cooperation, Nokia is obliged to prohibit using the brand of Nokia within 30 months. What’s more, it is prohibit using the brand of Nokia in mobile devices of its own before December 31th. In other words, Nokia could use its own brand of Nokia in its mobile phone next year.
